I've heard about these parts a story of stones standing in a garden off Armoury Square in Easton, Bristol...

Can anybody help me out verifying this?

I'm afraid I'm not much use as I haven't come across anything about them lately. I saw it mentioned in Dobson's 1931 'Archaeology of Somerset' but I can't remember what on earth it said now.

There's nothing in Leslie Grinsell's 'Prehistoric Bristol' about them.

There is a story of stone circles that once stood in Redland (in Brizol) park too if you ever go there you will find a fallin stone that is in the far off corner of the park. Thats all I know?

Vicky over on The Megalithic Portal had access to D.P.Dobson's "The Archaeology of Somerset" and has been kind enough to post an article there about what he has to say about the Bristol stones ( http://www.megalithic.co.uk/article.php?sid=2146411348 ) .
