Good point. I had it in my mind that they were further down for some reason. Either way it seems that there is still no evidence that they actually join up in the way described by MPP?

It wouldn't take much to confirm it as the gap is only about 20 m .

Jon , I think you may be thinking of the ridges on which support the bank and contain the short strech of , what may or may not be , periglacial stipes .They stretch to about halfway to the bend wioth a possible third to the east .Pics are almost unknown except for one radar image and one aerial cam .
