Looks like this new kit will put the cat amongst the pigeons in the next year or two - just how extensive was the Megapost complex that may have pre-dated the stones?! ('Twould be nice to think they had lintols etc) The prof says 90% is still to be searched so.....

Kind of puts Thornborough in perspective, specifically the refusal of the authorities and the planning system to acknowledge the monument was part of a wider landscape, for the convenience of Tarmac plc... What if they now find the Thornborough of the South was stuffed full of timber henges?!
