Sorry Nigel, no more info on that one only a terse note at the visitor tent.
The strange "ruts" on the Avenue have sometimes been altered by some means. Should know a lot more when the new trench to the south of Atkinson's is excavated.

'Just a touch speculative' Wondered when someone would question 20 foot fence ;). Did they measure by the depth of the postholes? were there enough tall trees round or did they use hurdling as well?
And words to put ones nerves on edge..elite caste, priests and lower classes, are we into slaves now ;)
