certain kinds of stones have been revered worldwide and carried great distances. although not megaliths. here in america the native people held red pipestone (catlinite) sacred and carried it all over the continent. also, the cherokee honor a type of black soapstone. it is not unusual for people to attach importance to a certain type of stone.
