Metal detectorists have nothing to do with Devizes museum Nigel, they have a place of their own ;) but it comes to something when the museum that houses the treasures of the "Wessex culture" is underfunded because a council is too measly to contribute - Why not let it go under, then all its stuff can go to London Museum after all we are spending 12 billion on an Olympic shindig - perhaps we should contribute some of our treasures to London to help with the finances......
