Hi Rhiannon

I should be trying to get back over there this time next week.
Didn't get to go through the `village' as I came up the foot path from Brassknoker basin and Dundas. Will go look for more next time.

Did you find the stone circle in no man's land?
Looked like a tent and hazel bender on it to me.

All the pics came from WAM 51 p440 onwards.
I was gobsmaked at what I found.

Do you know any more about this Guy Underwood dowser from Bradford?

Where is that mysterious gold disk now? I saw the picture in WAM 52 p270

Put an oder in for by his 'patterns of the past' book at Chippenham Lib, so I'll find out.

Please let me know if you find out more

ah if you came up that dastardly steep path from the aquaduct then you'd have gone straight past the well? - more of a spring with some stone round it really. Nice though. It's years since I've been and I never looked for the cairn at the time.
'Pattern of the Past' has loads of stuff relating to that area. He finds these little swirly patterns around all sorts of stones.. including ones that are blatantly along the side of the road to stop you bashing into the wall (probably). Which is a bit weird. But I like his diagrams.
