Lying 41 miles west of the Outer Hebrides, St Kilda is the remotest part of the British Isles. I recently, came across the following quote (source mislaid for the time being I'm afraid) -

"...Bryden's parliament does not meet in the Main Street, instead it adjourns to a stone circle on a nearby hilltop which is more scenic than authentic."

Anyone know anything about a circle on St Kilda? and if there is one there would this make it the most westerly stone circle of them all?

The answer to your question lies within your quotation:
".....a stone circle on a nearby hilltop which is more scenic than authentic."

The "Bryden" whom you mention is Bill Bryden, director of the film Ill Fares The Wind (1982), about the evacuation of the island in 1930.

Baz

it was on this day in 1930 that the last islanders left the island for good
