We had a pleasant day trecking around the Cotswolds yesterday using one of the old 1" to a mile OS maps. I prefer em' cos' they seem to have more historical info, though they're not so reliable on rights of way anymore.
Couldn't help but notice the presence of a long barrow a mile or so just East of Chipping Campden, so we went to investigate, but found it in the middle of a golf club, so were denied access. Anyhow, to cut to the chase..haven't been able to find any pics on the web, and the only info i found pertaining to it was from an old 'antiquarian' review of Longbarrows in the cottswolds from 1882? Anyone have any more info or pics??
If anyones interested other chapters cover Hillforts, Round barrows etc... s'a nice little gazetteer of stuff, guess many of the barrows aren't there anymore due to ploughing etc...
Anyhow, the link.
