Yes... perhaps not the clearest of notes I've written.

The circle definitely sits on Wardend's land - or that's what the lady at the farm I parked at told me. My reference to Burl is because he calls it Yonder Bognie Wardend.

Yonder Bognie Farm is on the W of the A97 so it cannot be on their land. The farm I parked at on the E had a different name which I can't remember (short name - four letters probably - should have written it down). I agree access is or looks easier from here but I still try to go in via the owning farm if there's not much of a difference.

I'll try and rewrite the notes a bit to make them clearer. Thanks for the tip.

Nearing the end of the Aberdeenshire postings. Two to go. 30 RSCs plus 15 others. It was a great trip.

Wish I could ever've got round to writing fieldnotes, but I visited the sites over a period of about 5 years, during which I wasn't able to upload pix on here. So when I got me hands on a scanner, I just blitzed the lot in about 4 days.

I'm amazed how well I seem to remember most of 'em but i'm SERIOUSLY itching to go back!!!

Look forward to seeing the rest. Didya get to North Stronehttp://www.themodernantiquarian.com/site/4552? One of my (many!) faves - kinda dinky in a gorgeous open setting with wide views!!! Pleasant walk up, too.

love
