Like Mr H, I've never been up to this circle. Looking at the map you had a bit of a stroll! I don't know the land round there at all, but wouldn't it have been easier to walk up the hill NE from Harrowbridge/Goodaver? Or is that way all off limits?

I'd like to get there one day, but suspect the old knees would give up on me walking that far!

I looked at that route but it appears to cross farmland with fences and stock and that was confirmed when I was at the circle. When you look in that direction it is all small working fields. Rather than make enquiries as to who owned/farmed what before approaching them, I thought it much more likely I could just take the Plantation route as I was very unlikely to meet anyone. And that's how it turned out. The next time I go I will seriously consider taking a push bike along because it would be a doddle on that as the roads/tracks through the woods are so good :-)

Stannon, Louden and Fernacre circles next on the list!!
