I think I'm gonna cry!

I have just read Ryaner's fieldnotes and can say that I am now relieved that we went to Tara instead of Patrickstown after our trip to Loughcrew. At the time, it felt like a mistake and we wondered whether we had missed anything remarkable. Now I know!

I know the feeling!

I wouldn't be a huge fan of taking stones from sites and hoarding them in the National Museum of Ireland (mainly because they seem to just put them in storage and never display them), but maybe on this occasion I would have looked the other way. :-(

There are definite concentric rings on it that, due to being hidden under the stone, are very well preserved
Aye-aye. Definite? I like the sound of that.

Peck marks an' all?

If so, it's a nice contrast to the other. Mebbe you've found a new thing.

As an ancient philosopher once wrote: "Dry your eyes mate..."

The carvings are there and look superbly splendiferous :) Got scratched, bitten and stung while attempting to navigate through neck high briars and thorns but that little baby is worth it!

Pics to follow..
