So - sorry if this sounds like a stupid question - do you reckon that is the original site or do you think they were moved there from the original location near Clatford?

Some have been moved. The ones in the field may be origianl.
The circle was described as "Over against Clatford" not next to or in Clatford.
West Overton grew by 50% in the 1800's and all the houses around the stones are relatively new and wouldn't have been there is Aubrey or Stukeleys day.
