Stonelifter...

I have the strangest tale to tell...well strange, to me!

This morning I had to take a trip way out of my normal SouthWestern meanderings, and way off home turf. A mundane business-related jaunt, a co-pilot reading a routeplanner hastily printed off this AM.

So I'm reading the route-planner, and see 'Halliwell Rd', which sparked my memory of your above post.

'Nah'. Think I. Too spooky, as only one or two days ago I was poring over your pics thinking how creepy the place looked. So then, back to this morning, we turn onto the A666. At this point I'm clutching my lucky charm and feeling quite suggestible.

Then I forget about it and go about business. two hours later I turn to leave this obscure place, I look out of a window and see the view. My stomach literally lurched. I snapped a pic and have posted it.

Cheers!

Just too weird.

P.S. There's a peregrine there.

You must work in antiques - excellent photograph ...

There's a tall chimney nearby, called Barrow Bridge chimney. Fred Dibnah pointed it, had ladders attached for years, until the council told him to get a shift on and to finish the job. There was a strange box he was supposed to mount up there - for the Peregrine - but, for reasons that are lost in the mists of time, he never did.

And when Hawkwind were just starting to release records I was working in the Falcon Mill, 5th floor, barrowing cotton about. Small world, eh ?

And thanks ...
