Replying to Squid Tempest

In Burl's "Prehistoric Avebury" page 48 fig24, there's possibly a representation of it. Follow the road W from the Sanctuary and it bisects a circular mark. The position is right although Stukeley calls Waden "Windmill Hill".

you must have an older copy than mine as i cannot see it.
There is a photo in Pollard & Reynolds book Avebury a biog of a landscape.
Plate 11 has a photo by Whittle of the Palisade excavations and the mound can clearly be seen in the top left.
There is no mention of it in the book tho.
