Has anyone found any survey information covering this site and Hafod y dre, i've looked pretty much everywhere i can think of but found next to nothing beyond the fact that they do exist. Just because they're made of small stones doesn't mean they should be ignored, surely? Or is this where i put all my spare time (recent redundancy) to good use? At least the views are lovely up there.

I don't know anything about them to be honest, and these days a trip that far north is rare for me.

Have you looked on Coflein?

The other place has it at http://www.megalithic.co.uk/article.php?sid=10462 with an alternative name of Fridd Can Awen. The name appears with a slightly different NGR on http://web.ukonline.co.uk/heroese/Ave.Flds.Row.htm as one of the stone fields (you could find the list of stone fields, rows etc. useful).
http://website.lineone.net/~rkwilli/framefieldW1Sect2.htm has amongst the names for Hafod-y-Garreg (817-831) "Cae maen llwyd = Greystone Field" which must be the same thing.
