Spot on, that should do the trick.

Like Rhiannon says, if anyone wants to find it, they can get in touch, which works, otherwise far fewer people, myself included, would never have seen the polisher. More than likely, if anyone was into their rock art to the extent that they wanted to see the Throckley stone, they'd probably have Beckensall's book anyway. It has the old grid ref for the stone, but enough of a description to help in finding it (obviously, else I wouldn't have been able to track it down).

I am most grateful for that suggestion.

Just stumbled across this topic, and i have to say that i have never heard of any rock art being in Throckley. I have lived in Throckley for 26 years and this is new to me. I am now curious to the location of this art as i often walk the dog through the dene.
