Andy Norfolk has just posted this on the Stones List , I'm sure he won't mind me posting it here -

"There is a Rollright Trust board meeting this weekend. Unfortunately neither Karin nor I can be there, but the damage to the hut is on the agenda. The roof at one end is badly damaged, but the walls are sound.

I'll mention to the other trustees that people here are offering to raise money.

Looking after sites is something we can all do, whether with money or on a practical level - like rebuilding and getting involved with raising the hut at Rollrights. Guardianship always seems such a big word, but communities (even internet ones) make things happen, we have to see these sites as part of our common heritage, it just does not belong to the state and private individuals....
End of early morning sermon..... expect that if everyone gave a fiver it would be up in no time.
