"You know we'll do it sometime :-) " hope so 4Ws, I'd really enjoy that.

I'm amazed at your statement "My drawing is fine." I'm not sure even Michelangelo would have said that! However, we all suffer from "getting the whole of a picture good."

There are passages in some of my pics that I look at an despair of, but no-one 'cept me seems to notice.

I wonder if you are struggling with it because you are seeing *individual elements* rather than the *whole composition*. If you are thinking to yourself "now I'll do the trees, now I'll do the sky, now I'll do the distance", etc", instead of thinking "now I'll do the greens, now I'll look at depth, now I'll consider contrast, now I'll think of expression"

just a thought...

This has not been a good day. First I read this thread and realize I'll never do a decent painting, then I think to myself I can't possibly afford to buy one of Jane's by way of consolation, then I think of Mr Archer sipping champagne in his penthouse surrounded by his Monet's, and finally I see this bloke's 'orrible megalithic stuff (take a look at his prices Jane).

"My drawing is fine."

means I'm happy-ish with it. I didn't say it was Bostin' or anything silly like that.
