The Long Stone

Oficant's Photo

close

I was just looking at Oficant's picture of the music water stone and i found the image startingly like a large figure with the profile of another figure in shadow hiding behind it. I clicked on the other images and I am adamant I can make out figures in the rock.

Has anyone else ever noticed this before and do you think the people that erected the stone would have noticed something like that? Or has someone slipped something in my tea?

I suppose it would help if I attached the picture I'm referring to:

Also apologies to Ocifant for spelling his name wrong. I think someone did slip something in my tea...

definitely something there, its almost modern in style, kind of a rough Henry Moore before smoothing.

Don't worry about it – I see things all the time… and I don't drink tea.

Very funny thread. :-)

Mrs Hamhead spotted both...and that was without her galsses on and with only half a glass of red wine drunk! She said it looked like a cloaked figure at the front.

I could see them to..but I though it looked like a figure leaning from the right whilst the other figure was behind.

Romance of the Stones says "a tall hooded woman, a Madonna like statue, a version of Michaelangelo's Awakening Giant in quartz".

does homer simpson count?

The stone in the middle looks freaked out at having his lower jaw buried:
