Hi there,
Joolio Geordio & I were there three years ago, I think we went for three days and stayed for six or something. There is so much stuff to see and do - make sure you pop in on Ron & Margaret Curtis - go on one of their tours and have your eyes opened.

A Wierd, Magical place - once visited, never forgotten.

Guess what?> we're going back in September - along with some other island hopping

Agreed its fantastic but make sure that your trip does not include a Sunday. The locals are super religous and anything that is percieved as being "work" of any nature is strictly frowned upon. We got dirty looks for driving around sight seeing by all those driving around to go to church. And no shops or petrol stations are open in case you run out of essentials. Stornaway isn't as bad but in the more rural areas its more in evidence

Enjoy anyway and yes go and see Ron and Margaret
this will make the trip by itself very special
