There's also a relevant petition on the 10 Downing St website

Like you say though Goff, when do petitions ever get listened to?

Just one currently, ironically. Scrap road pricing proposals - 1.4 million signatures, far more than all the others put together. And the govt. is going to take heed. JoePublic doesn't really want to do his bit for the environment.

And if we are really being cynical this morning, the RSPB petition does'nt come out of it too well either, considering its being quiet on the Shetland wind turbines - because of its commercial interests in the firm SSE who are building them... but there again maybe its all media hype...

Now then. My sarcasm filter is currently not at full strength... Is this true? I thought they were blatantly ignoring us!

I can't help feeling thatthe far reaches of the British Isles are in impractical position for a wind-farm that's supposed to be supplying large parts of the country... Somewhere more central, surely, would make more sense?

Could be implemented so simply - a flat charge of £2 every time we go onto a motorway.
