The RCAHMS description makes it sound as if they're mebbe oblate rather than circular, but it would be well interesting to find cupmarks in the Shetlands.
I've wondered why they don't seem to make an appearance in the Orkneys. Perhaps there's some sort of association with areas where Orkney/Cromarty tombs are found and areas with Clava types. i.e. If it's an Orcadian style tomb: no cups in the area, if it's a Clava type: cups may be present. Crude way to look at it I know, but I know next to nowt about Chambered thingies :)
