Welcome to the forum. Have you tried your local museum? You could take a picture of it and post it on here, that would open it up to the critical eye of TMA, there's one or two knowledgeable creatures around these ere parts

There are some markings on her that don't come out in the photograph, but they're very faint. There may be the groove of a fingernail, too.

After having her for a few months, I'm sure that she was meant to be held - she's just the right size and shape; also I think she's to do with the weather.

I don't want to take her to a museum because I feel that she is domestic, and if she has any secrets to reveal it will be in a domestic setting, with family, cooking, gardening and pets and not a museum case.
