However old the deer (and person) are I think they're great. If you're pecking away laboriously at a hard rock it must be difficult to get the sprightliness that the deer shows, don't you think?

they are fab aren't they- and right in the middle of Edinburgh, but very hidden and not the most accessible of site. I couldn't quite beleive it the first time I noticed the human/hunter carving. No- that rock isn't by any means soft- lot of work gone into them, especially the deer.
