Do the stones leave frost shadows, so that there's a patch of frost hanging about where the sun hasn't hit?

I've never noticed them.
It is very frosty here again tonight and I'll have a look tomorrow.
The bottom of the ditch keeps the frost all day long.
Silbury looked like it had been sliced in half this morning!
