What a smart group of stones!

Texture, colour, weird shapes, all very visually pleasing.
I'm wondering what kind of view it would have if there were no trees.

And Hoorah for winter clearing off.

The site sits atop a low rise on a 2km stretch of land between two bays. Higher ground lies to the N and S.

Without trees and assuming all the original stones were of the same size as those remaining, this would have been a very visible and impressive site.

Looking out from the circle would be N Arran to the W - hilly and full of notches. To the E are the Cumbrae islands and the mainland - low lying and generally smooth in profile.
