Thanks Grendel. That's a lot of info for me to chew over. I'm definitely going to go and take a look at what's still there on the ground.

Are you local by any chance (to the Preseli Hills I mean). I've often wondered how many other Megaracs are based in Wales. I'm based up in north Ceredigion, home of the mini-lithic Bronze Age standing stones.

We're frequent visitors (3-4 times per year) to visit the G's mother (the postcard fiend of the region). On our way down we pass through mid-Wales and usually try to find a stone or two to break the journey.

Hello K,

I'm just outside Cardiff in the shadow of Garth Hill. A 45 minute bicycle ride from Tinkiswood to the south and Pontyprodd Rocking Stone to the north.
