If the same farmer still owns the land, he was OK about people having a look at the earthworks. He was quite old then tho', so it's probably not the same guy anymore.

One is visible from the road on your right if you're heading out of Meltham... the other is over the fields past the farmhouse to your left, and is hidden by walls.

Never heard of the Cherry Tree? I think a lot of the pubs round Hudds have changed since I lived there.
