Jane's reference to the whole swastika thing is to do with a guy, Mike Croley - the starman. I don't know the full story but he went around defacing a lot of stones with swastikas, wound a lot of people up on the threads 'trolling', then was extremely offensive to Jane on a thread. Suffice to say he was kicked off TMA. He's known to crop up in different guises now and again...

MM - the fact it's chalk is better than it being paint I suppose but the fact that someone thinks it's ok to scrawl anything on stones is going to encourage others to do the same. Then permanent damage will occur, like the yellow paint at the rollrights, and that would be a very big deal.

think i may have run into him (calls himself cropredy on portal?) although i do not hold his views ,he has always been courteous (if a little off kilter) I find it difficult to arrive at positions on individuals arguments in the past ( as there is a lot of passive aggression etc in here as I have discovered) cheers MM
