I've been doing some research, and have found what looks to me like a much easier route to the Sacred Springs of Carn Menyn, complete with car park pulloff. Let's talk. Of course I could be wrong.

Yes, lay-by by Foel Drygarn and then walk the flat bit round, a couple of miles, but think you would still have encountered the swamp ridden bit....
