Plug away! Everyone else does! ;)

Looking forward to reading the book, Gordon! I know you've put a lot of hard work into your research so I'm glad it's all come to fruition. It'll make a nice change to hear from someone who's actually got their hands dirty, so to speak, and got off their arse to try their theories out!

I seem to remember, incidentally, that there was a map drawn up by someone with the suggested routes the bluestones *may* have been transported. I have it on my hard drive somewhere, I think. Very interesting.

to try their theories out....

and has also gone into some detail on the practicalities of the sea transport issues, something that has previously not been well researched IMO (indeed, a lot of the knowledge wasn't available when Burl wrote what he did I think).

Your namesake Gordon, Gordon Heeks, has been going into that exhaustively as an engineer, as I expect he has told you.

*cough* You mean the Stonehengineers one? The painstaking pencil on greaseproof paper rendition transferred to A1 art paper and THEN coloured in ACTUAL poster paint (as opposed to the Microsoft version!) that was THEN digitally photographed and THEN edited in MS Paint - only to realise on submission that "the artist" had got the contour colours upside down? :) That one? I hope someone in a green tee shirt has a copy somewhere....
