It's so funny to think of all those old schoolbook illustrations of prehistoric cavemen dragging these giant stones across bare ground with ropes.

I've said it before & I'll say it again- 'Primitive' people were far more intelligent and resourceful than we can imagine. We've devolved in many respects, not evolved. Think of how disassociated most of us have become from the real nitty-gritty of life- we no longer have to be aware of the seasons, subtleties of nature, animal behavior, etc. to survive... for most of us food and shelter are things we purchase with money made in pursuit of abstractions of the human mind.

i actually agree with you. I believe the pyramid builders used pulleys and cranes, the henge builders were very clever that's why i believe they moved stones over snow, its easier. could explain why they found no roads or ramps anywhere.
