That's one heck of an attack on Atkinson (again).
Its only a couple of years since EH brought itself to acknowledge he was incompetent. But saying he deliberately twisted the evidence, well...
I think its an interpretation, at best, and not one I'd like to make. And its all based upon a single remark, "howling savages". Who knows how much it was meant, and what the context of the conversation was?
