Naive question

I may be naive too, but wasn't Stonehenge bequeathed to "the English nation" many years ago?? How come EH can overide that?? What democratic process was invoked to make Stonehenge into a consumer item? I remember how angry I was when I was confronted by some officious steward when i went to the Equinox celebrations there years ago. why can't we take action to challenge the rights of EH to organize things there??

A great deal of parkland bequeathed to the nation a hundred years ago has been sold off and is now fully developed - giving land to the nation, as far as many orgs are concenred, means they have got greater control over its development - it has nothing to do with saving it as far as they are concerned.

Stomehenge is no different.

We can! We just step over that rope, simple!
