Stone Shifting 3

Trouble was, I didn't know that we wanted the profile of stone 56, so I only gave it a passing glance. There were in the region of 30 pages of diagrams and I only had a short time to look at it all. I'll try to get back to the library and examine stone 56 more carefully if you like. I wasn't able to use the digital camera. The only place where the lighting was good enough was at the reading desks and that's a rather public place to be photographing a book. I could have used flash in a darker corner, but I rather think that would have attracted some attention too. I guess I'll have to make do with tracings.

Hole 27 as thrown a spanner in the works, I know all the holes are different depths this was done to make them all level at the top. I didn't know they had radically different profiles though. We'll just have to think things through. This brings us back to the big question, "Are we try to show what was possible 4000 years ago, or what we think the builders of Stonehenge did?
