Definitely a very convincing theory. I've seen the guy on TV before demonstrating his method (using pallets) of erecting the stones, and he made it look really easy.

Initially, yes, but with enough levers, you could shuffle the back ones to the front while it's resting on the others...

Once the stone is angled off the ground, it should be 'easy'

Brings to mind the effect of 'rowing' the stone across the ground. Hey! A whole new meaning to Stone Row :-)
