Yes, the link between Durrington, the river and Stonehenge is still tenuous,
Yes, "the presenter formerly known as Baldric" is a bit too in yer face (despite being born on the same day as me - I've worn better!)
But there was also a lot of fascinating revelations about a well trod road/path being so ancient, about the scale of the wooden erections, about the volume of archeo finds and the concentration of pork feasting (yummy). IMHO this adds to the awe we should feel for what our "primitive(?)" ancestors were able to achieve, not to mention our respect for their apparent spiritual fervour.
And, I felt Mick Aston provided a useful measure of "yet to be convinced" to balance some of the wilder assumptions.
