I've just finished posting about the three hills barrows at Thornborough, it turned into a bit of an emotional time as I feel that today I was witnessing the last death throws of these ancient monuments. I know they are not the only barrows being destroyed in this way but nonetheless, being there made it a deeply personal experience. I wish I could do something about it.
