My memory may be playing tricks but I think Neil's own previous programme had touched on grooved ware with Nick Card or Roy Towers. We all owe quite a lot to Neil Oliver's efforts down the years.

He may well have and there is a still a prog to go .

But the most recent advances in refining the GW chronology for Orkney/UK has been the new RC dates from the Pool settlement on Sanday and they were only published a year ago ,and they are the biggest factor in any Orkneycentric argument .

I think it was mentioned on his History of Ancient Britain programmes where he also alluded to the importance of the Orkneys.
