Scubi you're not off for a few months are you? I can pretty much safely say I am going to take much of your wind and rain battering for you ;-)

I'm a bit miffed I can't blog the trip whilst I am there as I won't have a laptop or proper net access, but I'll likely send back some on site pics and things to my art facebook group from my phone (http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Nicki-MacRae/54822611086?ref=ts just in case anyone would like a pic a day of Orkney rain ;-) )

Wishing you fair winds and clear skies ... you never know with Orkney. I visited at midsummer in 2009 - went over in chilly mists, the skies cleared revealing the brightest of days. Arrival at Brodgar was clearest blue and I was so happy it was verging on euphoria.

Have a great trip - I'll look out for pics on Facebook.

very best

tjj

I have a few pals who have lived there at different times and another friend I'll hopefully catch for a coffee whilst there, they've all told me not to expect too much in February, but also they have had days in past years, for example, walking in shirt sleeves and Feb sun! So it's all fingers crossed :-D

Last time I was there I was camping.... flap flap flap flap flap flap flap...

And my middle child was a babe in arms, I think I was honestly so sleep deprived that I can't remember half what we did there! LOL! ;-)
