I see what you mean Tuesday,
I was thinking more of the mound in it's landscape context, with the soft rolling chalk downland, not to mention the artifacts that seem to find their way into from Y/shire to Wessex
I guess there are many possibilities and endless theories. Part of the fascination I suppose.
