I'm a posh git. We stayed at the Standing Stones Hotel. Pricey, but Just right for a midnight picnic by the Stones Of Stenness.

On our last night there, someone was camped by the Comet Stone. What a fantastic camp site!
You'll love Orkney, and everything about it. Be sure to be atop the ferry as you get into Stromness. . it's wonderful!
