just a thought if you go that way with the family there's an 'archaeolink' place quite close to aberdeen reconstructions of places, face painting, dancing, shop, bar, well, round house etc etc and up the hill an original site too. I can't remember names and details( i went a few years a go when it first opened) but it may be good entertainment for the children if you decide to wander further in the area for the day.

I did actually venture in (£4.25 eek) and its definitely aimed at kids/families. Still for all that, its good to see places like this opening up if it opens peoples eyes to prehistory.

Their new RSC is hysterical though-so many real life examples to copy and they get it so wrong - ooh I'm almost tempted to fire off a strongly worded e-mail - or perhaps not (must relax tightness of arse).

Nice sausage bap tho.
