Elderford. Lovely description of how to find (and not find this site) !! It sounds like you did all of the above :-)

What I wanted to know (in the absence of a photie) was, you say the stones range from zero to 1m or 1m+ in height. Are they graduated so that one side is low and the opposite side higher or do they have randomly different heights as you go around the circle?

Thanks

I found that the way that the sites have been nested was.......interesting:

The British Isles › South & West Wales › South Wales & the Borders › Pen y Crug › Twyn-y-Gaer › Mountain Centre 1 › Cefnbrynich › Mynydd Bach > Nant Tarw

`Mountain Centre I` is listed as `Mynydd Illtyd` (at SN976265) in the SMR.

For `Mountain Centre II` the SMR has `Traeth Mawr I` at SN963254 and `Traeth Mawr II` at SN964256.

FFS !!! You ask a question and they all go whittering on about something else!

You'd never catch me doing that :-)

Sorry to bring this one back from way back when, but I thought I'd say a quick little sorry for all the pics I've added for this site, but in my defence
there was a lot of things to see there and there weren't a lot of good pics of them.
Anyway, Fourwinds, no I don't think they are graded some stones are loose on the ground and might not even be originals.

Thanks, Postman
