Just back from that area and I brought Frances Lynch's guide with me:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Gwynedd-Covering-Anglesey-Western-Historic/dp/1857601971/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1248784347&sr=1-1

Wonderful book covering both Gwynedd and Anglesey, from prehistoric to historic, with excellent directions and access details. As you can see from the link it may be a bugger to get hold of though. Perhaps a library might have a copy?

On this subject (all right, slightly off it) does anyone know of any general guide to prehistoric Wales that's worth looking for? I know Burl includes Wales in his various Stone Circle books and there's obviously TMA, but there doesn't seem to be a general guide along the lines of, say James Dyer's "Discovering Prehistoric England".

Any suggestions appreciated!
