I’ll second those recommendations.
Castlerigg especially has some beautiful scenery around it – hey you never know, you may convert them to the joy of stones!

I'll third Fitz's two sites. They're by far the best for getting the 'wow' factor from non-megaraks.

Another suggestion would be to visit Mayburgh & King Arthur's Round Table on the way up to Long Meg. They're practically on the way if you're coming from Keswick, Kendal, or further south.
