As well as being visible from the west Cumbrian plain, there's also the intervisibility with Sampson's Bratfull and other cairns on Stockdale Moor, and the possible BA cairn on Lank Rigg.
Although not prehistoric some of the cairns on scottish hills particularly the bigger ones have cairns that are over 8m in height . Usually this was to increase the height to a magic number like 4000 ft in the case of Ben Lawers but there is one on Creag Meagaidh that isn't even on the summit but is immense .
