Mmmm cumbria... I did 15 circles in a (very long) day once about there and could have done several more if I hadn't been about to pass out due to tiredness.

Personally Swinside is the bees knees and well worth the drive to that corner of the lakes. Castlerigg is prettier & generally more impressive, but you will have to share its glory with the rabble.

Oh and go see Greycroft, more people go there the better!
