Go on Pete, tell me where the stone discs found at Avebury, West Kennet longbarrow and Windmill Hill are kept, and can you tell me anything about them, i came across a mention of them the other night.

and while you're here, any dates marked in for the stone raising at Avebury?

Stone discs are kept in the store room of Devizes museum.
There is talk of expanding the museum in the near future to show off more of the stored material.
As to the dig well IF permission is given it will be a 13 week dig starting in July this year.

Well there is very little written about them and no serious study has taken place because no one has a clue what the hell they were for.

There is the old folktale that neolithic Shamans made them because they could see into the future to a distant time when a young man would arrive in Avebury and collect all the research material into one place and store it by means of magick on a silver disk (Priced £18)
